Now, here is my story: A few years back I bought this one from a man in Belgium. He stated that this badge came from Kamiel Lotiens (original recipient) who was in the SS Flämische Flakbrigade. After later researching this unit and the history I found that it would be very hard to be awarded this medal. So, what do you think of this story?
Next, I would like to question the authenticity. I have had too many people look at this badge and say that it is good. In my opinion it looks silver but the make of the badge has more charecteristics of the bronze class. Do you agree with this statement? I have never seen a badge that looked like this production type in silver as this is a hollow back with a wide pin. Do you know what production model this is, type a, type b, ect... Can you tell the maker just by looking at the photos?
Please let me know either way. Thank you for your time.
