@ Luftkrieg: Oster's medal bar is in my collection. But the original owner hasn't been 100% confirmed yet. If I can add, you could notice that it's a very nice example of a gebr. Godet's bar.

              Ciao,

Perhaps you fellows can help me identify the former owner of this bar.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

It may actually be possible ,as he was a ww1 vet ,got the 39 clasp, was in the police earned the olympic cross, and involved in the annexations, and was in prague. Id say the olympic roster is where i'd start if i were trying to find who owned it. The thing that bothers me, is there used to be a guy who set up at the great western, that made up bars in the 80s,and on, that made them so well, you couldnt tell them from the originals, not that this one is one of those, but i can recall having original bars before then, with as many as 10 medals on a bar, that came out of vet finds back in the 60s. But after I sold the ones i found at the time, i was fearful to buy any since, because of that guy at pomona.. Most I had in the 60s were usually with ww1 hungarian, bavarian, and austrian medals intermixed, and a couple nazi medals but saw few with that many with all german on them at the time. I hope you do find out,and can attribute that fine bar, as an olympic medal on any bar is a difficult one to score .
Nice bunch in the posting, and I especially like the one with the godet maker on the back. Too bad you dont have shots of the original owners wearing them for all the attributed ones to go with the posting. Maybe in the future they will turn up to add.

                      Hi Bob,

A great medal bar, love the Olympic Decoration. Though i would like to stress that this thread is for bars that have already been named, and for bars that belonged to Officers in the Wehrmacht- i.e. Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe. Thanks for posting though. If you have, or know of any medal bars that fall into the above description please post.

                      Thanks
                      Pierce
