Yes recent copy (looking at the pin), however why make such a poor representation.......could it have been re pinned ?

Just bought these two non-rope Ostvolker 2nd kls. with swords medals.

One to left has an unmarked ring, and has a brighter finish to reverse.

Medal to right is a bronze example with the suspension ring being marked "100". It does not appear that the ring has been replaced. Maybe??? We now have confirmed that "100" also made the non-rope examples. Both are nice heavy medals, could be these were the "first" patterns issued?

            Cheers,
            Howard

Unfortunately, the characteristics of both these bars indicate fakes. In terms of construction, the stitching, backing and pin assemblies are all typical of made-up bars that have been sold from Austria for a few years now. At best, the individual awards may be genuine.

In addition, the second bar is impossible - gold and bronze Ostvolk awards were not made to Germans. Germans only received the 1st or 2nd class in silver as commemorative awards. Only a German could have Wehrmacht Long Service awards.

The first group is not impossible - Eastern volunteers could receive the KVK. However, even this combination is highly unlikely.

I just took a quick glance at first, but now when you mention it, I can see the wrong setup, but are you 100 % sure it impossible?

James is correct. The bas have the typical construction of fake bars from Austria that we see flooding the Imperial market.

Yes - for the reasons given above, there is no way that the same person could have been awarded the Wehrmacht Long Service awards (Germans only) and bronze Ostvolk award (non-Germans only).
