Jeff, thanks for your opinion, however I can not agree that there were only zinc versions. Yes there are many versions of construction in zinc in Gold, silver, bronze, but there exists tombac (bronze) versions. This next one should certainly put the cat among the pigeons Do you think this denazified solid back version is genuine or fake ?

Hi Martin, just because a badge has been denazified does not make it an original.
I would not own a tombak APB.
You are free to fill your collection with whatever you want. You asked for opinions and seem to not like the ones you have gotten. Sorry.
best wishes,

"I would not own a tombak APB"
Personally I am not comfortable having any standard award / qualification badge manufactured after 1943 in any material other than zinc.
Having said that ,the tombak flat back version has been accepted by advanced collectors but I personaly have never felt happy about them, if I had one in my collection it would always nag me. It is one of those badges that is down to the individual, if you are happy with it then thats that, but don't expect everyone to agree and give the thumbs up.
Lastly as a note, a member of the forum recently sold up and had the juncker tombak flat back version in silver and gold, both in top condition which were given rave reviews by other members over the years on varous threads including many "let me know if you ever want to part with it". I followed the sale of these with great interest expecting them to be snapped up for big cash, the reality was unforntunately, that they struggled to sell at what appeared to me to be bargain basement pricesRegards, Rob
