Hello everyone,

I got this simple Legion Condor medal bar in a well-known military shop a month ago. It is maked up of the Campaign medal and the White Merit Cross.
An obverse image,



It was mounted in a traditional German Style. The reverse image,

After reviewing this thread again for further research as I have two medal bars enroute, can some one shed some credible insight to this Naval Military Merit Cross example here please.

Is this a period legit award or some post war veteran make up retrospectively awarded?

Hi Ray,

I believe the key to dating these is the crown. This style of crown suggests Franco period, so anything up to 1975.

The ribbon and the cross have to be post 1942 necessarily. No Civil War period. I hope this helps.

Be carefull when purchasing spanish medals of "german medals made in Spain for Blue Division veterans". The main part are fakes simply, and they are been sold in places as the e-stand currently. Be carefull
