Anycase, IMO, this one isn´t the oldest variant.

Here is a Legion Condor member medal bar which I just acquired. From my understanding of this thread, the Spanish Campaign award is of the "Type 1" variety ("balloon" and vertical Egana with no other markings obverse or reverse).

Nice to hear from you again!
This is a nice LC bar, with an early Egaña campaign medal with the so called pineaple just behind the balloon in the obverse. THere isn´t still a well documented text about the Spanish Campaign 1936-39 Medal, but is widely accepted that the pineaple one is one of the earlier (not the earliest IMHO, but made in 1939 anycase).
