Hello,
We see quite a lot of those so called Spanisch War wound badges all over the place but is there anyone who can provide more info on the following subject :
iff a German Soldier was wounded in Spain during the Civil war => did he receive also the so called " Spanisch Wound medal 1936 - 1939 " ? from the Spanisch Governement + iff yes then he must have the ribbon for this medal also on his ribbon bar, etc ......
The this soldier would have received 2 actual badges for one and the same wound => namely the Spanisch wound medal + the German wound badge !!!!!!!
statistics for the Spanisch civil war :
* Black wound badge : 182 times awarded
* Silver wound badge : once awarded
Keeping these numbers in mind and the possible fact that a wounded German also received the Spanisch wound medal that would make such ribbon bars quite rare
Is there anyone who can provide documented proof for this ?
Cordial Greetings,
