    I would interested in knowing the place where the 2./Fallsch San Abt 7 was fighting at the Newa front if someone have this info

      I think San. Abt. mainly were placed to Stab area? Builded cemeteries and cared about wounded in field ?
      Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.

        Probably you are right, 2./Fallsch. San Abt 7 had 41 KIAS in Kreta but I can´t find any Kia of this unit at Newa front

          Hermann Paus was killed as Unteroffizier in Plonevez (France) (05.08.1944). He is buried in Ploudaniel-Lesneven. Block 8 Reihe 7 Grab 219.

          I don´t know which was his unit when he died

                Here is one of my favourite photo of Newa positions, clearly visible conditions of actions there and enough tired FJs..found it among my files from Freiburg. There are Pioneer Battl. and FJR3 war diaries, they fought very close to each other, so I don't know exactly what is the unit shows.

                ..also photo of map where pointed Baracken place . Not in Newa area but just for example..
                Would like see more Newa pix if someone wants to show

                                Very nice combat pix,thanks

                                Beton is the well know position of FJs..Note the white cloth for helmets, it's very special detail for Newa front, seems they couldn't find any white paint fast when snow came down suddenly and they used cloth. I know some guys who dug up helmets there with remnants of this cloth .
