Gents, I start this thread about my latest purshase . Willi said that we should discuss the one of the bolts on this helmet . Most of you already seen it . I would't provide link to the initial thread in helmet section and post some pix of the helmet again here . Bolts very often missed and changed to something which can help hold the straps inside . Sometimes soldiers used very interesting modifications ..Perhaps we can start whole thread about similar helmets . Lets the mine will be first .

Liner has some damages because of the guy who probably wanted large top pad and took it from the helmet .. I have some rubber parts from another helmets and installed it inside through the hole in the leather . Can do more even replace small rubber which is partially missed but think not do this ..Attached FilesLooking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.

Nice idea! Here is one in my collection that I don't think is a field replacement, but rather a factory-issued mistake (or at least, a half-finished bolt). It is a mystery how this would go undiscovered since the spanner bolt wrench would not be usable with this half-finished bolt. But the helmet is untouched and the rust prevents that bolt from being removed.Attached FilesWhen you go home

Yes, Walter it's very interesting configuration and I do believe that your bolt is authentic..never heard that fakers installed similar ones without holes for any tool or spanner...they always try do the same like textbook originals ..So I believe these bolts are defects or bars from the factory ..
It seems like nobody has any other helmets with unusual bolts /holders , only Walter and me ))) So, it makes them very rare
I'll show one more . Ground recovered from battlefield on Ukraine. No bolt in hole but telephone wire used to hold the strap . This camo helmet also interesting because it has hooks from the cover still attached /Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.
