This recent purchase will form the basis for another LW Field Division display. I purchased it from the Virtual Grenadier and I have to say i am very pleased with their operation. Quick service and friendly emails.

The jacket is a large size, very long and about a 40 jacket size in the chest and shoulders. It was represented as an early model of the ground combat smock. No shoulder loops. I love the hoheitsabzeichen!

Homer thank you for the affirmation!

I could not wait to post the latest display,(nearly completed and waiting patiently on some shoes). This is the previously reviewed IT camouflaged tailor/field made M44 pattern jacket worn over the luftwaffe tropical weight pull over shirt and uberfallhosen. I have mated a set of NCO LW FD shoulder boards with the jacket. The NCO is carrying the holster for a Beretta 1934 pistol. The leather holster is done in the typical war-time IT blue/grey color. It is unmarked. I will find a suitable pair of GJ boots to add to the display.

I probably should invest in a nice LW tropical side cap.

                              Wilhelm,
Thanks very much. I have a very nice late war Beretta in 7.65mm with the 4UT markings on the way. Will post images of that soon.

Nice display. The German style holster is in my view actually made in Italian "Grigrio verde" color leather...made with Italian green leather
(post Sep.'43 armistice) for the German forces. (for a Beretta) I have one as well. I believe MG34 tool kits also exist in this leather...
Not necessarily LW related. Typical color for Italian leather gear. Made after the surrender in the German style.

It is visible in this link. Made in 1944 (perhaps intended for RSI forces, but made in German style)
