    Unfortunately I can only agree with what has been said by the other guys and pointed out in detail by Gerd. Post #5 also indicates this badge is cast (soft edges of wreath).

      Like you, I'm not a badge guy either, but that never stopped me before. Gerd, Yannis and Frank do know badges and I think they are right on. Even the 'age toning' looks forced and artifical in your photos. And as Alan stated, the maker mark is just too sharply struck. Keep the case, return the badge.
