    My eagle

    Hi Guys

What would be a fare price to ask for an original eagle.

    Cheers

    Ross

    Here it is my one:

Just pick-up this piece this weekend.

Not a Smock eagle but sew onto a Smock material.

          Nice find !

Might be from a smock, or an early FD jacket.

Newest member of the "Smock Eagle" club!!

Hey guys!! I have been wishing & hoping to eventually acquire one of these beautiful birds for my very own... I finally have one!!!
It is an early one cut from a green smock and this baby was there
for sure! I wish it could talk! I wonder if one of you fine gentlemen would
be ok to post it here for me if I send you pics? Please & Thank you!!
Have always loved WW2 German items but since having been a paratrooper
with the 82nd during the early 90's I feel a kinship with the FJ.
Something like this is a tangible link to my forefathers!! Sorry for goin on 😄

              Regards all, Chris

Here is Chris's eagle, a fine example. Looks similar to another one with provenance to Tunisia. Congratulations Chris!

Thank you John for posting the pics for me! Also thanks to
                      Other guys for offering to!!

Thanks for the compliments gents! I am so happy with it!
Helmets & smocks are way out of my budget but I was at
least able to manage this beauty! I'm getting married in 10
months and would have a much harder time getting one of
these after that fact. I know I just got it... But I'm ready for
                      no. 2! 😆

                      Regards, Chris

Hey John, do you have any pics of the eagle taken from Tunisia
that you mentioned? Would like to compare.

Also, would love to see more from other's collections if anyone
would like to share!! Already addicted!!

                            Hey Chris,

Here you go, not sure if I have posted this one on this thread before. The eagle has provenance to Tunisia; it was brought back by a US soldier along with Grünmeliert backed rank insignia in post 5 of this thread.

                            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...+rank+insignia

As you can see it is soiled as yours, hence the similarity.

does look similar to mine. No telling what it has seen... Probably some pretty
awesome stuff! That's why I prefer used & worn over mint!
