            John, the pouch is dated and marked on the leather belt loop. '1943' and what appears, but not positive, to be 'bla'. 'WaA159' as well.

                Because they were on hand and sturdy enough für sewing belt loops and straps?

                  This found today at the market, both sold as unknown pouches, think they are originals, what you think?

                              I suspect there are many more out there than first thought. How many more are sitting on dealers shelves labelled as "unknown pouch" ?

                              Now that they have been "identified" - the word is likely to spread quickly. Good luck to all you early FJ collectors !
