So then would regular troops such as panzergrenadiers also have had access to these pouches? And if so does anyone have any pictures of ground troops using these? Thanks!

        Six Mag. Pouch

        Greetings,
I have been wondering about that for years. I have yet to find a photo of any soldier (other than FJ) using one of these. I'm still looking and hopefully some day, one will turn up. You would think that the SS would probably use these too. Sincerely, DJB

The auction has just closed . As I don't know if the winner is a member here, I post it right now because I consider this pic of very high importance.
too bad I didn't win it

To confirm again the existence of those pouches :

Roger, that one is from a series of photos from a photography studio (Paris I think), and heavily reproduced in both B&W and the colorized version. He are a couple with the same pouch. Others have just a single 3-pocket pouch worn on the same side. The studio appraently had lots of props to wear.

Here is the same pouch on another FJ. Lower right of the left page. JYN has these in his "Green Devils" book.

When were those pics taken ? Around 1941 or after ?

I don't recall the story anymore. Perhaps Paris. Dreux was only about 80 kms outside of Paris. So, I would think early '44 after jump school.

                            Hey Willi

Kind of reminds me of Ft Benning after jump school graduation back in the day.

Remember all those Photo Pimps offering dramatic props and photos for the newly minted 5 Jump Commandos.

Those photo packages cost more than a private made in a month.

                            Matt

                                Hello ,
                                earlier pics were deleted
so I had to repost them ...

here is what I found recently : two straps .
those straps are mostly missing and are very rare .
they are in mint condition and fit perfectly with those earlier six pouches .
