Here is a picture of my Uncles Grave in Pomezia. He was killed in Pratica di Mare on July 27, 1943. He was 9. Fallschirmjager Regiment 1. He is the Oberjager on the head stone. I was there this passed September.

I finally found a mint late medic's ruck at a small antique arms show over the weekend. First one I have encountered in the US.

Marked "jhg 44" on the pack and "sat 44" on each of the two shoulder straps.
