Thank you Steve, Glenn, and Bob. I appreciate your kindness and confidence!
Dan, I'll try to keep you happy??? with another photo from the book now and then.
Though there is detailed credit for the militaria illustrated in the book; it occurred to me to also credit the Officer's Meyers on the Forum since they are not mine. The well wore example was in George Petersen's collection for decades. Two other rare pieces from George's collection are illustrated in the book that have never been shown in print before.
The less worn Officer's Meyer belonged to a good friend in Palm Beach, who prefers to be unnamed here, and remains one of the wisest collectors I know.
Regards to you all,

Thanks for showing John!.. I also look forward to see the rest, in the book!
...hope in a signed copy too!...
About Meyers, both great, but should I choose only one, my tastes are for the latter.... Wow!

Still, my favorite Meyers are the early ones with embroidered insignia. Anyone know why?

Oh yes, me too! But that's just a matter of tastes. I like very much the large screened vents styles, and I just LOVE any gently used garment, much more than mint. As said, nothing else that a matter of taste!
Well, maybe for later productions are no more associated with Afrika campaign? I hate these riddles... Always maybe close to 99% chance I p*ss out ....

Usually Fallschirmjäger in Africa wore Meyers with embroidered insignia. Always exceptions however, as Oberstleut. Koch. Here is a great photo that will appear in the book.
Thanks for the PMs good friend,
