Found this pic for me! Ok, nothing dramatic.......... You see the tall guy on the right? I´m sure, that some FJ collectors saw him before! No, it´s not Willi with his reenactor group

        Geez !!!
He is " head and shoulders" above the rest !!!
Isn't that "Lurch" from the old television show called the "MUNSTERS" !!!
Now I know what happened to that character....

He was probably 6 feet some only. A common height in today standard!
Remember, people from WWII (in general) are short and small build. Most of my German tunics are small sizes..

203 cm is about 6'8", so he is tall.

Does anybody have any info on this guy? What a tall dude. Looks like he would eat a bowl of allies for breakfast each morning.

                        Hi David!

One is an eBay purchase, shown is a platoon of FJR1 soldiers. The other pic you******180;ll find in the book Sprung ******252;ber Kreta (published 1944, side 68).

Tall means in some cases, that there******180;s a bigger chance to brake some bones as you have a lot more (length) as all the others

Here the soldier after his "touch down" on Crete, side by side with Br******228;uer.

It is very unusual to see anyone of that hieght, becoming a para. The crucial point is the length from pelvis to knee jointi.e.the thigh.I had some para.friends and they were explaining that there is a very great risk of fracture at these points.
