He was probably 6 feet some only. A common height in today standard!
Remember, people from WWII (in general) are short and small build. Most of my German tunics are small sizes..Comment

One is an eBay purchase, shown is a platoon of FJR1 soldiers. The other pic you******180;ll find in the book Sprung ******252;ber Kreta (published 1944, side 68).
Tall means in some cases, that there******180;s a bigger chance to brake some bones as you have a lot more (length) as all the others

tallest para in town
It is very unusual to see anyone of that hieght,becoming a para.The crucial point is the length from pelvis to knee jointi.e.the thigh.I had some para.friends and they were explaining that there is a very great risk of fracture at these points.Comment
