I was looking around today and found this one for sale:

Although I have one but not this year, its a very tempting 42' dated example.

Tempting indeed, the first year they were manufactured. The example shown in post 82 is also dated 42.

            Hi friends,
As we are more used to see around splinter pattern than tan water, i couldn't remember those few i saw if they had shoulder straps loops or not, that's wahy my silly questions sorry I also got two eagles, a green in HBT, and a normal thin cloth green, i think good to restoreing this jacket, but i don't know if do it or not yet! Give me an advice In the mean time many thanks for yours kinds comments, always a pleasure

Well it is a great example with deep rich colors! I would restore the eagle, but others may disagree. If you do restore it, study many Sumpf examples with eagles and try to duplicate one of them with the sewing and thread. Be sure to use all cotton thread, old WWII era thread if you can find it.

              Great find,
              John

                  hello Antonio,

I wouldn't put an eagle on it if it never had an eagle. If you put an eagle on a jacket which never had one, it is in my opinion not restoring. It always stays a jacket with reapplied eagle. This is just my opinion

                  regards Erwin

                      It once had an eagle.

A standard eagle or one of those triangular ones ?

My apoligy, I couldn't see that from my computer overhere. I thought it was mint and it never had an eagle.

                          regards Erwin
