I collect LW FD because my Grandfather served at LW FD 7 as a Stug-Commander in 1942/43. More about him you`ll find here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=258751
I made a few Quick Shots of some of my FD Stuff

Collartabs Artillerie/Flak/Sturmari/Stug
Collartabs Sturmgeschütz, salty, but I love them !
This M43 is very interesting, it is a converted SS Cap, you can see the " Eagle Shadow " on the left Side. And yes, it is Original, i bought it at the local Fleamarket Years ago for very small Bucks !

The one Glenn posted is 1 of 2 others which were also found last fall. The other one went to my fellow moderator.
Other than the lot of them which were found in the DDR in the late '90s I haven't seen that many water jackets found within a few months of each other.
Always enjoy seeing these jackets....Willi

Seeing the beautiful field division jackets inspired me to go outside and take some pictures of mine along with an M35 DD Luft camo helmet that I think goes well with the jacket. This jacket I recently obtained from a fellow forum member Bill Bell, whom I want to thank publicly. He is a first class person all the way! Bill told me that this jacket had originally come from England. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank John Hodgin for answering some questions that I had regarding the jacket!
As you can see from the pictures, the jacket is smooth cotton, splinter pattern camo, that came with the camo shoulderboards. The jacket is missing one large disc button and two small disc buttons (one to affix one of the shoulderpads and the other for one of the lower pockets).
When I received the jacket from Bill, I carefully went through the pockets and found some interesting items. One thing I found was one of the two missing small metal disc buttons. I was excited to find it, because I may use it to affix the loose shoulder board. The other item I found (which Bill knew about already), was a yellowed piece of paper (it is actually an envelope for a doctor's visit) which has the following writing: "Weeze. Found in Bunker About Feb. '45. Paras came out & surrendered & so Woodall went in & found jacket." I did a quick search and found that Weeze is a small town in the Western part of Germany's Rhineland.
I hope you guys like the jacket and the helmet combination!Attached FilesWhen you go home
