        Dear stogie-Rick,

Your pictured badge neither looks like an Osang nor like a Deumer. Apart from that, it looks strange. My personal opinion is that it might be not good.

          Re: Osang (sic) Badge

Hi Frank, I liked this one before he eMailed the close-up photos. The thing that really makes me say no, no, no; is the pin. Note the way it rolls over the top. I look at that, and knowing the quality of Osang work on pre-1918 pieces, and say: "No Way" he made this badge. Also, note the funny finish/scratches on the back. Allmost looks machine buffed.
I did not order this piece, I've been waiting some time for photos. Unless Prosper or Eric can say something positive about it, I won't even consider it.
Frank, your help on the WW2 side has been most appreciated. Imperial stuff I have pretty solid and ahelp everyone where I can. WW2, too much of a minefield for me to navigate without the experience and knowledge of you, Francois, Prosper, Eric, etc., etc.
          THANKS guys!

            Dear stogie-Rick,

That´s not machine buffed, these are the traces of some idiot with a sandpaper trying to make this look "aged" and "rubbed".

Ever see a uniform made out of sandpaper?

P.S.: Also, the reverse of the eagle has the typical "acid sprinkler" effect to make it look aged.

            Cheers, Frank H.

                  For Ivan

Ivan, very nice badge and much more in keeping with the Quality I would expect from Osang. May I save your photos for my files??
