I do see what Kenny is saying. And, I take his concerns to heart. No one wants to exclude others from participating. There are sensitive deals going on behind the scenes at times. That is the nature of this hobby. Some of us just don't want to see some of these matters disrupted.
Glenn is correct. We have ALL overpaid for items....just to get them. That doesn't mean that price is the norm, or going rate in the hobby.
I once paid crazy money for a particular smock. Word on that purchase quickly spread. Some were bothered by that price as they felt is would influence the going rate. Now that price would be a great deal.
Same goes for a splinter clip-on cover many of us here know about. We know it was sold for crazy money, because many in the deal knew someone who needed one badly. That doesn't mean I could get that kind of money for mine. That is just the way it goes.... Listing these sale amounts doesn't help anyone.
