As I love lids it's nice to see the rubber banding being used , but more interesting to me are the couple of helmets having a type of cage on there helmets and it's not wire, maybe a webbing of sorts, perhaps leather must have been cobbled together well before the drop
p.s. just had another look and it looks like a sort of elastic with hooks for attachment to the rim.
