I picked up this album from a coin dealer in Germany over 20 years ago. In is was a letter the owner had written to his parents from a POW camp in the US. His name was Emil Goerke. I used a couple of these photos in my book but have never shown it in its entirety. I think, collectively, it is a useful study of what these guys saw and experienced during this operation. I will show everything in order they way that he has it in the album. Some photos aren't that "sexy" but, again, I think collectively they relay the experience.
