Now I know who bought all lanyards , nice pile of gravity knives, Jiri
John, the smock is perfect historical item, waiting for more pix especially of the lower edge.
Paul, congrats on your set, good luck with the helmet. Are any photos from eastern front in your album?
.
Can it be a lay down spread David, or are you looking for a mannequin display? The mannequin is harder because I will have to "undress" one of them as none are FJR6 at this time.
This thread still rocks gentlemen!
Very fine helmet Tony. Please post a close up of the decal sometime.
Best,
John
Hi, John
Not a mannequin but a display on the ground like the two others you had made well
Sorry A, that helmet is gone. Sold it to a good friend about 7 years ago to fund a garage for another favorite pastime. The helmet sale covered the entire project down to the last penny. Sometimes ya just have to make hard choices.
You can't keep them all, I'm sure your friend thinks it's worth every penny too, superlative helmet - definitive Ramcke m38. If he ever wants to take up stamp collecting or some other hobby, put him in touch
Like the story with Dal 's smock John... they are so much more meaningful with details like that, amazing. Strange to think all of our well used items will have had many such fascinating stories behind them, but frustratingly "lost to time".
