    Please help with translation

    Dear Forum Members,

I had posted this KIA soldbuch grouping in a previous thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?t=1000812 I would very much appreciate if someone can kindly assist in translation I would be very grateful. I am trying to figure out what was this sailors "military job function" and where exactly did he serve. And anything else relevant to understand him. I am re-posting a few pages, with hopes of receiving some help in translation.

Many Thanks in advance to all!
    Dave.

From page 2 under Stand, Beruf he was a Maschinenschlosser or mechanic as a civilian. On the first page he is listed as Kraftf. Gef. or Kraftfahrer Gefreiter or driver lance corporal and killed on 30 June 1944. The two documents were issued by 3. Marine-Kraftwagen-Einsatzabteilung if you can locate where they were stationed. He and his family lived in Berlin/Weissensee.

Thank you very much! I will try to see if I can locate and scan in high resolution a Feld Post number, perhaps that can help.

Does this shed more light on the duty station(s)?

No, that's a list of things issued to him. The Feldpost number would likely be your best bet.

He was killed on an "Einsatzfahrt" or operational drive/travel......as mentioned above, he was a driver.

He is buried in Pornichet, France. However his name is spelt different.
