Thank you Guys. Yes, destroying a tank with infantry weapon remained someting special until the last day of the war, I think. I heard several times it was later "easier" with Faust or Schreck, but I don't think so. The efficiency of these weapons still need the soldier to be very close, and russian or US tanks were rarely moving alone...
Hre is the EK.1 award doc from S. It was made two months after the actions, altough the award itself was given immediatly after...
S. had the benefit to get 2 Weeks at home for it's bravery. Of course he was celebrated in its Hometown Butzfach, here is a Pic from this nice moment at Home. I suppose the man in the middle is his Father, but I am not sure.

Amazing group you have there, as always, a real lucky time that he decided to keep some of the actions reports and maps, you can obtain a lot of info in those little sheets of papers.
I tend to agree with the idea of TDB obtained in 41 to mid 44 are more valuable than those at the end of the war, waiting with a Panzerfaust of a a Panzerschreck must be scarring, but at least you can shoot them from 40-50 meters away, with a bundle of hand grenades, an explosive charge or a T-mine you have one meter of distance with the steel monster. In all ways you need to have steel nerves to wait for the right moment to kill the beast.
Can not wait to see the rest of the group.
AngelLooking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

many years ago, i went to the military museum and saw the T34,
it is very strong, steel hardness, big, i was thinking if it were driving passing by me, i must be too scared to urinate into my trousers, so don't say i will have encourage to destroy it within very close distance and while enemies are behind it, that is human being! so TDB grouping is always my favorite too.
your grouping comes with his destroyed T34 foto, battle description, fotos in which he is wearing the badge. they are highlights !
very impressive ! very nice grouping you have ! thanks for sharing with us !
