Ordonnanz Offizier or Adjudant soldbuch question??

    Hello gentlemen,

I have been looking around for information about the soldbuch entries for ordonnanz-offiziers and adjudants , but couldn't find it anywhere...

I actually wondered what an ordonnanz offizier or an adjudant soldbuch looks like?

Does anyone have a soldbuch he can show me? Or do you have any information about where they wrote in their soldbuch they were actually an ordonnanz offz. or adjudant? Was it written on page 1 as a rank or how did that happen? Or did they just change their unit when they moved to the "staff"?

It's actually quite unclear for me ...

Thank you in advance for your help!!

    Kindest regards,

    vonleonhausen

Occasionally you might get their position written on page 1 of the Soldbuch but the majority of the time time you do not.
It may appear in the Wehrpaß, but again not always as it was dependent on the clerk filling it in.....

      Hi Ian,

      Thanks for your fast reply!

So, if it wasn't filled in on the first page of the soldbuch (or in the wehrpaß) there was actually no way to know if they were an Ordonnanz-Offz. or Adjudant?

What about page 3 of the solbuch? Was it written on that page they were moved to the staff? If it was written, what was the "Art der Anderung" then? Ernennung? Beforderung?

BTW (this might be a dumb question) how dit they wrote Staff if the soldier belonged to the Staff? Stab? And then followed by the unit? For exemple : "Stab AA. 35."?

I know it's a lot of questions but I really want to know how that worked.

      Thanks in advance!

      Best wishes,

      vonleonhausen

Page 3 of the Soldbuch, was for changes to page 1 and 2 only. However, occasionally one finds corrections for other pages listed.

          Hi JUNGCO,

          Thanks for your answer!

Yes, I know that it was for changes on the first two pages, but when they were replaced to another company or to the stab, where did they wrote that in the soldbuch? And how?

          Thank you in advance!

          Best wishes,

          vonleonhausen

in soldbuch just say Stab, mainly at least no word pointing Adjutant, it must need extra documents support your proof.
i have a soldbuch the owner is Adjutant, but no record in his soldbuch, how i know his position? because more documents say. as the soldbuch is coming from a grouping.

sorry. because so many other documents, so i didnt scan all.
1, i have 6 regiment organization documents showing him from batallion Adjutant to N.Z. offizier, tjen there is a kriegstagsbuch showing him taking order to change from regiment Adjutant promoted to Brigade Adjutant, his old position will be taken by another offizier, tje document date is end of 1941, and i think he was promoted to Hptm. on Jan.1 1942. soon after he got Brigade Adjutant, sorry all promotion documents are there but no Hptm. promotion document.

Here you have a link to an artillery officer in my collection who was Abteilung and Regiment Adjudant, no entries for this neither on 1 or 3 page, but an extra page at the end of the Soldbuch with his career details his appointments as such.

                  Cheers

And another question, what was the waffenfarbe (arms colour) of a Stab member?

Was it just the colour of the type of unit they were part of? For exemple an adjudant (oberleutnant) in an Aufklärungs-Abteilung wore golden yellow waffenfarbe?

Or was it the white waffenfarbe like divisional HQ? For exemple an adjudant (oberleutnant) in an Aufklärungs-Abteilung wore white waffenfarbe to make a difference from "fighting units"?

Thank you in advance for your help!
