    My new Soldbuch

Here we have my last adquisition, look at the two photos, I have a great dilema, to remove the top one or not, I think the tape was added post war as the book is reinforced with a cord and other tape type than the one showed in the exterior and with the top photo (and, incidentally, it was so dry that it only holds the pages and the photo by miracle)

His Soldbuch was with him from one month prior the ouytbreack of the war till the end. See also that he was a tall man, almost 1.8 m. high.

I would leave the photo as it is, not a good idea to mess with it IMO. It could very well have been added by him, even if it was Post war.

sorry but I cannot identify the entry on page 8/9 where he received two sidearms.

                        15.11.39 he received a Schlafdecke - a duvet
28.10.42 his own pistol Walter PPK was registered
15.2.43 he received soles for his boots (Besohlung f.(ür) Stiefel
12.3.44 his second (private) pistol Walter PPK was registrated. He presented the bill.
                        25. and 26.7. 1944 he received a coupon to have soles for his boots (Besohlung)
10.8.44 again he received soles for his boots and heels (Absatz)
24.11.44 he received half soles for his boots (1 Paar Halbsohlen)

                        Cannot find any sidearms entry.

Gerdan, I think I make a mistake, when I say sidearm I mean his two pistols.

Why you say that the first is also a PPK? is it for the serial number?

                            Thanks for your help.

the medical diagnosis tells us that he had a shell splinter in his left femoral which remained there without beeing removed. The wound was closed without any complications.
