wehrstammbuch + Wehrpass.... released in August 1942 in Salzburg

a young soldier: Pfeffengerger Gottfried born in dec. 1925, farmer....

prewar service

enlisted end august 1943.... from 22 febbruary 1944 in Italy with the 132 Gren. Reg. (8th MG btl) of the 44 HuD Div.

his grenadier training (Mg 34 and Wefer) and visit after the Italy....

and less than 5 months with 44 HUD division ..... after Cassino Gottfreid falls North of Perugia near the Trasimeno Lake line in July 1944

exactly the 11 july 1944, in San Secondo, just south of Citta' di Castello, in the
in the strong battle ahainst the Indians near the Church (Sanctuary) of Canoscio

in the Sanctuary (which dominates the Tiberina road towards Sansepolcro-Arezzo) the Indian and German losses were very high

the Gottfried wehrsammbuch ... the red cross for fallen.... while the blu X I think for dossier clodsed or Wehrpass closed or sent to the family (??) .
Inn the Wehrstammbuch there are loose leaf for every Unit of the soldier with his training ad officier valutation
