Hey Bill,

I remember when you found all those tags and other items. Of course you were always making such discoveries. I also enjoyed searching the construction sites on the kasernes. I was never as lucky as you though. I mostly found old bottles, fragments of dishes, and a few panzerfaust tubes. Well things are slowly coming together in our new home in SA. It's almost liveable. Now I hear to Oklahoma next week to help move my mom.

Hey Jim,

That's right you got to see those finds. I remember you finding those Panzerfaust tubes on Funari....I think I went was with you when you pulled them out where they were digging a communications trench next to one of the buildings. I was always on the lookout for construction sites on the Kasernes because something always popped out of the ground. I'm sure there is much more to be found but unfortunately the bases in our old stomping grounds were turned over to the German Government.

I figure you and Deb were feverishly working on organizing your new home up in SA. Let me know when the house warming party is going to take place so you can invite the gang over. Is your Mom moving in with you in SA or with your sister out in OK. Send me an email as this really isn't the place to discuss. You must be getting close to the release of your next book.

I've already stated my reason....I didn't post them to get opinion on whether the were real or not which is what Mr. Pitomnik had initially stated and then contradicted himself by saying the opposite. Others chimed in saying they were genuine and several friends who are members here verified that. My friend Jim was with me when I discovered them. I didn't solicit their opinions. I just wanted to relate on how I found them and I'm pretty sure others have found such treasures on Kasernes. Logic and principle has nothing to do with it but a simple decision (mine) not to show detailed close up photos of them does so Why is it so hard to understand? Accept it!! life goes on OK.

You show bad photo , and when i ask show detail - you started to be indignant and call witnesses))))) To tell histories not concerning to a theme!)))) and it was simply necessary 1-2 photos for end of dispute!
So people which act is what to hide.
And it not only my opinion !

If photos of items are going to be posted, it would be more usefull and educational for quality, usable, readable photos to be posted. That is what the forum is about. As it stands now, this thread is a "war story", with several insiders who already know chiming in to verify it. For the other 99.9% of the forum the thread is useless.
Pitomnik raises what are apparently very valid points, that probably have a just as valid (and educational) explanation. But this explanation can not be found with the information posted so far.

I never wished you bad! Also did not change the opinion!
I have only asked a photo - because dogtags strange!
But you have given up - without logic and explanations!))))))
You can write as much as necessary - " I have personally found ", " many people saw it ")) But it not 100 % a guarantee.
There are many examples - when people "found" in presence witnesses..... But after it it appeared a forgery.
Considering yours not desire to show a photo - I continue to consider your digtags at least "Doubts"!

I believe you need to re-read what you requested on page 10 & 21 where you stated 1 - 2 scans...not three. I would also like to point out one of the tags you mainly doubted and criticized was the rostfrei 263 tag and I believe the reason for all this doubt that you have. So as requested here is the first of two scans for the tags you selected.
