    Translation of page headings?

I am not trying to be lazy, but I was wondering if there is an existing translation available for the various fields of Soldbuchs, Führunsbuchs, and other "fill in the form"-type documents that could make understanding them a bit easier for those of us who know "nur ein bißchen Deutsche". If anyone has such a translation, and is willing to share, please let me know!

I recently found my grandfather's old documents, and am very interested to dig into what it all means. I've already started to become accustomed to some of the short forms they used in their stamps and such throughout the document, but it's a lot to handle!

You can check some of the pinned threads here, or try www.leo.de (or is it .org? Not sure...EDIT: it's .org). It's a great page for translations - provided you can read the headings.

There are/were sites with Soldbuchs & so forth decoded, but I don't have the links for them.

Nice! Anything like that for the Führungsbuch?

If you post some scans of your Opa's Soldbuch, we can help decipher his units and medals he was entitled to.

I appreciate that! His Fuhrungsbuch gives more details than his Soldbuch, including his awards and dates of award. However, any help with identifying the training schools and S.St.As listed in his buch would be great.

I posted the last page of his first Fuhrungsbuch and some details of his Admiral Scheer experience here:
