while the photos of the Germans with the AB 41 are abundant and very common, the AB43 Photos with Germans Crews are much rarer, because it was produced in small quantities (nr. 60 in 1944 and nr. 42 in 1945) and assigned especially in Italy and only to the elite Units ....

And after Cassino the Heres-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 400 fight south of Bologna (Vergato area) with 29 Pz. Gren. Div.
Then will move to the western part of the Gothic Line always inside Panzertruppe until the end of the war.
It posseded nr. 19 AB43 the 1st December 1944 (instead of the 25 provided), 1944, then it will receive 6 new to February 1945, and the other 6 in March 1945.... (all data and some photo from the nice book "Italian Armour in German Service 1943-1945 of Daniele Guglielmi)....

(again from Guglielmi) I think the last photo of the AB43 in Italy, three AB43 burnt by the Germans near Vaccarino di Padova (near Lonigo!!!) at the end of April 1944

The tank in the Lonigo's photos is a italian p43?

                                Pietro
