WH Officer Soldbuch - 9 awards (incl. CCC)

Hello. I'd like to show a very nice Soldbuch of an Oberleutnant of I.R. 368. The SB has a very nice and sharp uniform photo attached.

The Officer was decorated with 9 (!) awards:

• HJ Leistungsbazeichen Silber
• Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse
• Verwundetenabzeichen Schwarz
• Krimschild
• Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse
• Infanterie Sturmabzeichen
• Verwundetenabzeichen Silber
• Verwundetenabzeichen Gold
• Nahkampfspange 1. Stufe

I like a lot the glued-in lists with the days for the Nahkampfspange and Sturmabzeichen.

A funny thing which cost me some hours to solve was the following:

Please have a closer look at the entries on page 3. Both entries were signed by someone with the name "Focke" and the signatures look almost the same.
But because of the slightly differences I didn't believe that it was the same person and started searching the Internet.
Finally I found the following page where two "Fockes" appear (Oberst Focke and Hauptmann Focke from I.R. 368, probably father and son):

That was a hard nut to crack.

Nice awards and combat days list in it.

He was at the right time and at the right place in hospital.

At the right time because his Division did have a lot of problems to keep the Russians from their back, and at the right place as the hospital was located in his home town.

Nicely spotted! But the "36" stands not just for faking an illness but also for monitoring an existing illness ("36" = Zur Beobachtung und Vortäuschung von Krankheiten).

Hi EJ. Good to see that you are doing well.

I guess either him or the medic (or both of them) were tough guys because with the 3 injuries which brought him the SWB and GWB he left the hospital always the same day he checked in.

I think the signatures on page three are the same person. One while a Hauptmann and one as a Major. He also signed page 22 as a Hauptmann and the last leave on page as a Major.
