The wehrmacht at war 1939-1945. The Units and Commanders of the German Ground Forces during World War II

    Written by Andris J. Kursietis.

It contains a list of all Army divisions, their commanders and where the division was fighting (including dates).

This includes wehrmacht and SS divisions (SS corps).

Then in the same book a biographie of army generals. Not all the generals are in the book. I think they made a list of the most important. I think there are a couple of hundred in it.

Book is still available and not very expensive. I believe I payed some 35 euro for it.

A lot of information for this money.
Thanks for the heads up on this book.
I went out today and got myself a copy.

      Resource for Feldpost numbers

Although this thread started six years ago, I just now came across it and would like to buy the CD with the history of (almost) every German Feldpost number.

      Feldpostübersicht der Deutschen Wehrmacht
      VMD (Verlag Media Data) GmBH

Does anyone know where I can buy it? Does this CD open and work on Windows and/or a Mac?

Detlev is apparently no longer selling this CD so any help would be appreciated! :-)

      Thanks,
      David

I like this One from Dr. Klietmann. Published 1965 Verlag "Der Freiwillige". Unfortunately no ISBN Number.. This Book contains all Waffen-SS Units, Battles, Commanders and Feldpost-Numbers. A "Hard to Get-Book" but a very good Source of Knowledge..

          Kind Regards
