    FJ Soldbuch

    Dear All,
I have been offered this SB for a late war FJ. There seems to be a few suspect entries in this item, your thoughts will be appreciated. If you need any more scans please let me know.

    Thanks

          Simon,

Can you post a larger scan of the Feldpost number on page 11?

            Hi Ian,

I have tried to enlarge it and put a negative on it, if this is no good I will try and take a photo of it.

            Thanks

                FP No. 61101 belonged to Stab u. 1.-5. Kompanie Fallschirm-Feldersatz-Bataillon 3 from 16.12.1944.

Can not quite make out the Kompanie but the letter would be as follows:

                A - Bataillon Stab
                B - 1 Kp.
                C - 2 Kp.
                D - 3 Kp.
                E - 4 Kp.
                F - 5 Kp.

                /Ian

Not sure about the Fl. (Fj.?) Bataillon "Schimpf" but no doubt named after the Division commander Generalleutnant Richard Schimpf RK, as commander of the 3 Fallschirm Division.

Could even be his PoW unit!?

Although the writing does look a bit funny and perhaps not genuine...the entries do correspond with 3 Fj.Div.

                  /Ian

In my opinion - the book itself looks fine, aging, ect. HOWEVER - the script looks modern. If it is a reproduciton someone took a lot of time to make the stamps.

                            Hi
I know this photo is not directly a Fallschirmjäger Soldbuch photo, but I have seen this type of photos used by the Waffen SS.

strange that the rank is FJ Flieger?
normaly this must be Jäger, no?
with the contact name FJ infront that and the j is different than on page one?

I think it's suspicius, if it's original, then there is messed with in my opinion
