strange that the rank is FJ Flieger?
normaly this must be J******228;ger, no?
with the contact name FJ infront that and the j is different than on page one?

I think it's suspicius, if it's original, then there is messed with in my opinion

He didn't join a Fj. unit straight away, he joined a Flieger Ersatz Bataillon where his rank was given and Soldbuch was issued.

His rank would have been changed to J******228;ger on joining his first Fj. unit......however late war I have seen where Fj. and FS or something similiar is written in front of the rank....these however were confirmed "badged" paras!

IMO, you are a little too suspicious with that book. There are differents entries and writings : I don't see any problem with these ! For me, all seem ok.
