    Award Entries in Wehrpasses...

A while back, more then one member of the WAF seemed to have some major "Issues" with the "Himmler / Glucks" notations associate with the award entries in the Regetz Au. KL Wehrpass shown on page one, #13, in this thread:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=Regetz

Interestingly, we now have the exact same scenario with a "Kesselring" associated award entry in this thread:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=384346

Absolutely nothing is wrong or inappropriate with either the "Himmler / Glucks" or "Kesselring" entires in either of these Wehrpasses.

It would be interesting to hear what the original detractors of the "Himmler / Glucks" entries now have to say out this "Kesselring" entry, or if they are just going to bury their heads in the Haggis and hopes this all just fades away....

Since no-one (surprise, surprise) has decided to comment on this Hot Potato, looks like I might as well (again).

Please take a good look at the 100% legitimate "Pohl" signed Dachau KL KvK document below, currently in the hands of a WAF member who has kindly allowed me to post this scan.

There is every possibility that this document was noted as being associated / signed by Pohl in Boczanski's Wehrpass, as were the "Himmler / Glucks" signed awards noted in Regetz's Wehrpass......it really would be interesting to see how this award would have been entered into Boczanski's Wehrpass...

As the old saying goes, "Proof is in the Puddin'".....

Kind of lost in this thread Hunds. Is it that some people were claiming an illegit signature in one instance while accepting it in another?

It's well known the RFSS awarded EKs, i think we've seen at least one example here. Kesselring of course award decorations by the bucket load, on paper at least. same goes with pretty much any high ranking officer.

that kvk doc is quite something. not many of those survived i guess.

The "Pohl" Document posted is a superb example of an original, late war issued Kvk document to a KL member. Many times you will see late 1944 - early 1945 Kvk awards entries in the Wehrpasses of KL members, but hardly ever do you see the actual document, let alone one signed by such a high-ranking authority.

*** Too bad that those specifically I would like to hear comments from are keeping silent, but that was to be fully expected...

As you barked earlier my friend, the proof is in the pudding....and I do like that pudding!

Only one person in that thread had concerns about the Regetz award entries and I doubt he's bothered about a 2 1/2 year old thread on a subject he has a casual passing interest in.

Do we? Reading that thread it's only Chris B that seriously queries them?

                    Who are 'all the others'?

Nope. I've read the entire thread again.

The initial WP up for review was quite rightly rubbished but the Regetz WP entry only has Chris B querying it. I Marotto also asks at one point to see the NARA file that would clear the doubts up. That's all.

                        Who are all the others?

Just had a look at the 16 pages with some very special and rare KZ booklets...........sorry "Hundestaffel" but I can not find a posting/reply from my hand there, only in the "Kesselring" thread I did.

                          yours friendly

I don't really want to "bark" on about this forever (because basically it's quite pointless), but there were indeed more fellows then who contributed to that thread who were fully convinced these entries were bogus.

I've learned looong ago that people are quick to either back-track, lie, deny and / or have very convenient bouts of amnesia when their previous (incorrect) conclusions are brought to light.

This thread is / was dedicated to those people.....

I'll get off my SSoapbox now.

Who are these people then? Have some posts been removed form the thread you linked to? Because apart from one persons doubts (quite understandable tbh) no-one else queries them. In fact some people actually say they are okay.

Now if you want to talk about the blatantly faked WP that the thread was originally about and 'those persons' would gave it a seal of approval...we're all ears.
