    Soldbuch (St Nazaire) Help

Can any member help with this Navy Coastal Artillery soldbuch please.

I have a few queries the photo is stamped with two different Field post numbers? would this be quite normal? and appears glued in.

    And the black ink writing..?

    These are the only pictures.
Served with Mar Flak Abt 809 of the 22.Mar.Flak-Rgt.
(the same month renamed V.Mar.Flak-Brigade) based at St.Nazaire.

Field Post Numbers : 22742 and 00681 can anyone confirm these units?

    Regards
    Scott

          Thanks for that Ian,
Can I just ask would it be normal to see two different stamps on a photo?

Issue stamp on page 2 appears to be 00681 which matches one of the stamps on the photo

As requested page 23 and others.

Thats page 2 and 3 not page 23!!!

I have seen it when two different stamps have been used but they have been colocated units.....

Need to check were 807 and 508 were when the Soldbuch was opened.

Appears to still be with FR Nr 22742 mid to late 1944 and into early 1945 which would be correct for St Nazaire right.

Could it be that the original issuing unit used another photo or only stamped the top of the photo then sometime at a later date his new unit FP Nr 22742 stamped the other.

The Soldbuch was opened by FP Nr. 19018 D, this FP Nr. was cancelled and it changed to the FP Nr. also on page 2 and the photo...see below:

                        FP Nr. 19018 D

                        (Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) 4. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 176,
                        (2.1.1940-27.4.1940) gestrichen, wurde Fp.Nr. 07628 B,
                        (15.9.1940-31.1.1941) Stabskompanie des Marinebefehlshaber Dänemark,
                        (27.1.1942-14.7.1942) 5.(= D) u. 6.(ohne) Batterie Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 508,
                        (15.7.1942-24.1.1943) gestrichen, 5. Batterie wurde Fp.Nr. 00681 D u. 6. Batterie Fp.Nr. 00681 S,
                        (1.8.1943-23.3.1944) 23.12.1943 Stab II u. 5.-8. Kompanie Grenadier-Regiment 979,
                        (7.11.1944-Kriegsende) 21.11.1944 gestrichen.

That sorted that out.....and I presume that his new unit simply authorsied it as well!!!

                        /Ian

                          Thank Ian,
Your FP Nr database saves the day again!

So all in all everything appears correct??

FP Nr 22742 ( Marine-Flak-Abteilung 809) is confirmed right up till the latter stages in 1945 so he was around the fortress area which ties in well I think.
