An absolutely, utterly fantastic grouping, Mark!

It's really amazing to think about the fact that this guy participated in - and survived through - the invasions of Poland in '39, France and the western countries in '40, and Russia in 1941, and then went on to serve in North Afrika and finally Norway. Just fantastic.

Nice training entries on the 7,5cm L/48 and L/70, too!

Thanks for sharing this one with us.
        Rob

My specialty might be Hunde paper, but I am truly loving this thread !!!

I know there are some incredible "Tiger" and "Panther" Black-Wrapper Soldbuchs (and Wehrpasses) out there (both SS and Wehrmacht)....it would be great if their owners would kindly contribute to this thread (hint, hint !!!)...

*** A few years ago, I owned an outstanding (Army cover) 103 / 503 SS "Tiger" Gunners EM's Soldbuch from a Dutch volunteer. The photo (which was quite oversize) was absolutely outstanding. The fellow was pictured in his Black Panzer SS Wrapper with both the collar and the tabs piped in Pink. This Soldbuch went a few years ago in a (somewhat complicated !!) trade deal that netted me some (very) high-end Hundestaffel paper, so I do not know who owns this Soldbuch today. If the current owner of that Soldbuch is out there and reading this, I'm sure there are a lot of Panzer ID collectors who would love to see that one.....

Ok, found some time to post more....
Next a soldbuch to Willi Trost, starts in 1935 till the end of the war in 1945.
Trost served with Panzer Abt 300 (Fkl) and later Panzer Abt 302 (Fkl), these units (Funklenk) operated with radio-controlled tracked armoured vehicles that could deliver a charge to a target for remote-controlled demolition.

                In total six awards:

*War Merit Cross w. Swords 2nd Class
                *Wound Badge in Black
                *Krimshield
*War Merit Cross w. Swords 1st Class
                *Panzer Assault Badge in Silver
                *Iron Cross 1st Class

Unfortunately this soldbuch is strong denazificated, but despite that it's still an attractive piece of a rare unit.

Don't know if it is allowed to post a Sturmgeschütz-soldbuch in this thread but I couldn't resist.
Soldbuch and Führerschein to Benedikt Jäger, Sturmgeschütz Brigade 279.
