    The Fuhrerpaket was issued to returning non-wounded soldiers at specific main train stations (I have a list somewhere). It was issued to men on-leave from areas outside of Germany. They could be on leave, military escorts of transport convoys, those awarded a medal for heoism, or those that had a family bombed out. Wounded soldiers were issued a "Sonderlebensmittlekarte" which they received at the hospital and contained money and coupons to recieve the Fuhrerpaket when they reached Germany. Sometimes you may also see an entry in the Soldbuch "for Infantry Kampfer."

        Here is a Soldbuch from another grouping of a soldier who was in Pz Rgt 25 and ended up in Pz Abt. Rhodos at the end of the war. It is also nice to have the dogtag which is entered into the Soldbuch!

                    Here is a very worn Leutnants Soldbuch who was with various Pz Abteilungen/Rgt. He also took part in the Battle of the Bulge and was captured in January 1945 while with Pz Gren Rgt 2. Unfortunately the page with decorations is missing as the Soldbuch has come apart.
