Thank you for the comments Rob and Dennis.

I'm very happy with the soldbuch, especially because the fact he got wounded in september 1944. It will be guessing when he got wounded but most probably during the counter attack on Joe's Bridge on 14 september 1944 like Rob stated. I couldn't read the wound code so i was doubing between the counterattack (14 september) and the artillery bombardment (16 september). This gives him a couple of days before arriving in the Bad Sassendorf Reserve Lazerette, which is like Dennis said about 200 km from here. I don't think it was possible to travel 200 km in one day around that time frame if he got wounded on 17 september 1944. Market Garden started and so the Germans had other things on their mind. In one of my Luftwaffen-Jäger-Btl. z.b.V. 6 soldbucher, 17 september 1944 is listed as a nahkampftag. See attachement. Perhaps somebody can identify the signature.

The documents regarding this unit are forming a small collection in my modest collection. I never thought i would be able to find such an amount of soldbuchen/wehrpassen from this small unit who fought in my area. So a big thanks to Floris, Dennis, Jim and Frederic

Also interesting is that i have a portrait picture from all soldiers from which i got documents and served in this unit. From two soldiers it is 100% sure that the have known each other due to the fact that one signed the soldbuch from the other one for reaching out a MP38/40

    Best regards

    Erwin

Thanks Patrick. One of the other Luftwaffen-Jäger-Btl. z.b.V. 6 soldbucher has also a nahkampftag entry for 17 september 1944. Will post a scan of that later.

        Regards

Great finds Erwin. Especially for a small unit and nicely filled in with unique Sept 44' entries.

Michael Wieland's Soldbuch was first posted in this thread back in 2009, but seeing as how it is now in my collection I thought I'd post larger and better quality scans of both the Soldbuch and Führerschein for all to study and enjoy. For detailed information on the Wieland set you can check out this thread.

Wieland served in the Flakzug of the Stabskompanie/Pz.Abt.115, 15.Panzergrenadier-Division and died on 1.November 1944 fighting in the Battle of the Peel Marshes - most likely as a crew member or possibly commander of a Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen. Wieland was awarded the EKII in 1943 for fighting in Sicily during "Operation Husky" and received the Heer Flak badge in August of 1944 while serving as (most likely) the commander of one of the Flakzug's two SdKfz.7/1 halftracks.
