Thanks for the complements Dennis and sorry I did not see your post until now! As you can imagine I am quite happy with this "Kurland" group as well as the combination of the black wrapper portrait photo and the close combat clasp award entry I have many other Soldbücher with CCC award entries but out of those this is the only one with a black wrapper photo

Here's one I've had for many years to Obergefreiter Alberts. He recieved his Infantriesturmabz. the same day as his Nahkampfspange. He was wounded three times at least but never was awarded the EKII. The photo of Alberts wearing the CCC, was attached while he was in the hospital.
