    SS Soldbuch Translation help

    Hello Gentleman,

I am currently trying to research is Soldbuch witch belonged to Wilheim Wolf and I am having some difficulty and help would be appriciated. Page 4 reads that he was part of the SS reserve Police BTL-111 Weert Holld. Page 20 I cannot read , Page 21 indicates he recieved the Infantry Assault badge in 1942/ Can't read anything beyond that. Page 22 Eastern front medalle, wound badge in Gold, EKII .

I will also scan page 19, very interesting entries.

Any help would be very appriciated.

    Best Regards,
    JD

      Hi JD,

Page 20 basically shows he received Wehrsold (service pay), shaving soap and tobacco card.....from different hospitals and a FP No...this probably also a hospital or ambulance platoon....no doubt wounded or had the clap or something!

Page 21 does indeed show Inf.Ass.i. Silver fromFP No. 38793?

Page 18 shows 3 entries for his pay group 16 - Schützen, 15 - Gefreiter/Obergefreiter, 14 - Unteroffizier...these would be his ranks if an early member of SS Polizei Division.

Page 19 received 5 RM cleaning material allowance and was entitled (Kriegsbesoldung) to war pay.....this if I remember correctly was given to non professional soldiers or those that were conscripted for the war! Professional soldiers received a type of peacetime pay (Friedensgebührnisse....

      /Ian
