bit more info After nearly a year on the Eastern Front, the Division was moved to Italy and in December 1943 the 5th arrived on the "Gustav Line" near Cassino. Late in the War the Division fought in the mountain region between France and Italy and then surrendered to the Americans near Turin in May, 1945.

hi klaus no i am no expert on this one this was at the back in a box i got a long time ago i had no idea about it untill a good mate from here said you should put it on the forum i am not saying he was not there its just where should you look?there are many 45 dates and in 1940 1 10 40 he was in pay group 16 geb jag erf btl 100 here are a few more scans the last one i can not read was his last hospital entrieAttached Files

It´s really hard to read but I think it´s "Ortslaz. Grugliasco". That means Ortslazarett which is a military hospital in a town. I don´t know where it is.
Well, you should basically look the in the section where all his combats are written. Sometimes Soldbuchs don´t have these entries for any reason.
