First line on first image reads "bed. kv. - date - Ldw" - "bedingt kriegsverwendungsfähig - Landwehr". So this is just the result of his testing of abilety for the army: Useful, but not 100%, for "Landwehr"-units.
The second line just show shorts and numbers of some army-laws.

Thanks for all the translations guys, it's much appreciated.
I couldn't quite make the handwriting out and thought he was a prison guard, also due to his age, he was born in 1897.
Was this guy a WWI prisoner then? It looks like it's dated 1917.

The first clear line on the first page pictured says "Wehrbez. -Kdo. (possibly Kdv.) Berlin 1" The stamp under the Entscheid section below on the same page has verwendungsfähig as the second part of the word but the first is not clear enough to make out. It certainly can't be Kriegs- or bedingt Kriegs- as there are either too many or not enough letters for either of these two choices. Can you get a clearer scan of the picture as the lettering is a bit light?

It's an unclear stamp that's hard to read.

Actually it appears to only be 8 letters prior to verwendungsfähig. The first letter is most likely a g, the third an r, the fifth a t or an i and the eighth is an n. The stamp is not clear enough to make out letters number 2, 4, 6 and 7 though #6 could be an f. I can make a guess but my guesses don't come up with a word that makes sense. Any way to blow up the image of the first 8 letters? This is like Wheel of Fortune! I need to buy a vowel.

OK - its "garnisonverwendungsfähig" - here you have your 8 letters. This is the old term for "garnisions-v...", and still make sense. ´"Able to serve in (home)-Garnison"
