    Is my Iron Cross 1st Class L/15 real?

    So I heard about the L/15 fakes but I think this one could be real. Your thoughts?

    It's real because it exists ( ) but it's a classic Floch 1980s/90s repro.

    Return it if you can.

    Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

        Firstly, Yeah... classic Floch 1980s/90s repro.

        Secondly, L15 ≠ L/15 (It's not the same thing)

        L15 = Friedrich Orth
        L/15 = Otto Schickle

        and This is a Back Side-style closer to Friedrich Orth...

            A few weeks ago I told a dealer about these L15 marked EK1 and KVK1 that L15 ≠ L/15 and that or it concerns a Friedrich Orth EK1 or worse a Floch fake. I even asked him if the KVK1 was L15 or L/15 as it cannot be seen on the picture.

            He is still selling them as a Schickle EK1 and KVK1 ... (and in the past I already had to return a few items after forum scrutiny), so I deleted him from my list of dealers.

                L/15 is only Otto Schickle
                L/14 or 15 is Friedrich Orth

                  Slight correction: Rudolf Wächtler & Lange stamped L 55 (w/o the "/") and it was maybe incorrect but legitimate.

                      The history of the whole "L15 vs L/15" saga has been laid out in several B&D Publications, starting with The Iron Cross 1. Class in 2010.

                          I looked investigate it...

                          These are from Hiscoll.
                          code: 48455, 45570.

                          Many sellers incorrectly name their maker. In addition, the description is simply copied and pasted. Sometimes so modifications are needed.
