    Schickle KC with 800 stamp.

Here’s one more with an 800 silver stamp. I also had one long ago straight from the German recipient.

Frighteningly similar to the '800' mark on the so-called Rounder.

From my phone its looks like the 800 on the schickle looks like it was stamped after assembly .

Stupid me- I thought all the Schickles were neusilber, not silver.

Original cross with a 800 stamp after it left the factory.
I tend to believe it's done by the sellers that bought the stock from Schickle during WW2, others believe it was done postwar.

looks like an original schickle that someone did a lousy job stamping the markings postwar. from looking at the rim in different areas I'm guessing the frame is neusilver.

                    Probably.

Again, I've never seen a silver framed Shickle. I've never seen a silver framed 3/4 ring either.

So the silver content mark was stamped in after construction? I would have thought the stamp would precede assembly. Less chance of separation of components.

Yes, and specifically postwar the spurious stamp was added.

If the claim is platinum, it's obviously absurd.

Any silver stamp on a Schickle RK would have been presumably added later (not by the manufacturer) as there are no silver framed Schickle RKs- they are neusilber, as are 3/4 ring Rks.

Wartime schickle RKs are either unmarked or have "L/15" on the ring. The frames of Schickle RKs are neusilber, not silver, therefore the manufacturer would not have stamped any silver content mark.

If there is a silver stamp on a Schickle RK, it would have been added by someone other than the manufacturer.

Here is an EK I from the Schickle stock sold by Boerger & Co (Beco) with the option S/800 or unecht. So far as I know Schickle did not mark these crosses with 800, so if there are Schickle 800 marked crosses, they probably marked by the sellers during the WW2.
