Dmytro, they are beautiful examples all. I love the quality of these early postwar ones.

Here is a couple of pictures of my Souval GC. This one is magnetic, unmarked and weighs 37 gram. I think it is a later piece because it is magnetic. The quality is IMO very good.

Yes, this definitely is a later Souval GC. The look of the numeral design compared to earlier ones is „softer“ and just not as refined. I would date them to the late 1960 - early 1970‘s. Still a very nice looking cross

            Regards,
            Alex

Thanks, I have to admit, they photograph well,

regards, I might look out for a slightly later version with a magnetic core to add to them

Be careful as they can be addicting.
Before you know it, you‘ll end up like me - adding „a few“ more GK‘s...

The one with the oaks is outstanding. The oaks don't look Souval. I have a set of the early OLS which is marked L/58, matched to a not so early, but very nice frosted beading RK also marked L/58. I'm assuming both are the cheaper non silver version so. I have a slightly later unmarked RK (still with no die flaws showing on the beading), that came with a later 800 marked OLS. It has the same core paint as the RK you have there with the oaks I mentioned.

I wish they'd made wartime ones. It would have been interesting to see how the quality compared.

Many believe (including me) that the so-called "Sedlatzek" cross was really made by Souval and is an early wartime cross.

One I still don't own. It may well be, but it can't be included on our database because we just don't know.
