Earlier would perhaps conform....because it's been my observation that the small, catch i.e thin stem and APEX head on the thin stem, is evident on shall we say 'earlier' boxes certainly as opposed to later boxes. (Remeber thick stem, apex head to the catch, cause's a concern for a second look and second thoughts when not in conjuction with a square catch)
More than anything, I've found this type of catch on Luft boxes believed and deemed to be pre or 'purported' early war. It's a thought, but not indicative or a suggestion premise bound.
I've yet though to encounter a 'Flowers War' medal box with this nature of catch, again it means nothing. I'm just thinking out aloud really and throwing thoughts into the ring.
